Honoured to Join Lockerbie’s Community Celebration of Gratitude & Remembrance
22 December 2025
Yesterday, Andrew Clark and Douglas Bodell were privileged to represent Robert Potter and Partners at the 37th Anniversary Commemoration of Pan Am Flight 103 at the Lockerbie Memorial Church Museum, hosted by the Pan Am 103 Lockerbie Legacy Foundation.
This tragic event honoured the 270 lives lost in the air and on the ground, and paid tribute to the extraordinary efforts of first responders, volunteers, and townspeople who came together in the aftermath of tragedy.
At Robert Potter and Partners, our connection to Lockerbie runs deep. Andrew Clark, a Lockerbie native, witnessed the events of that night and was among 20 people invited to read the victims’ names. Douglas Bodell has called Lockerbie home for the past 15 years.
Since the Foundation acquired the 1896 Category B Listed Lockerbie Memorial Church in May 2025, we’ve worked closely to ensure this historic building could host yesterday’s service.
Our team carried out Condition Surveys, coordinated further specialist inspections, and delivered an initial phase of urgent internal works to make the structure safe and halt active dry rot, working alongside Cuthbertson Preservation Ltd and Narro.
Looking ahead, we’re developing the next phase of external remedial works to restore the roof, tower, stonework, and windows as well as initial designs for the memorial church. The goal of Lockerbie Memorial Church Museum is to preserve this important local building as a self-sustaining, reverential place of pilgrimage open for commemorative services, cultural events, education, and reflection.
