Planning Permission for 160 new homes on Isle of Lewis

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Western Isles Council) have granted full Planning Permission for 160 new houses at Melbost West, to the east of Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides. The phased development will provide a mix of house types and sizes, accommodating households of 2 to 7 people in attractive, easy to heat houses.

The four phases include landscaped amenity gardens and a generous play area, and strengthen pedestrian links from Sandwick to Stornoway.

We worked closely with Hebridean Housing Partnership and the Council’s Planning team to achieve the positive outcome for this Major Application and HHP’s target dates for their development programme.
