Pre-Application Consultation Community Event for Lochside

We were pleased to take part in the first public consultation event for a new 85-dwelling affordable housing development, held as part of the Pre-Application Notice (PAN) process.

The event, which took place on 2nd July 2025 at YMCA Lochside was the first opportunity for local residents and stakeholders to view our initial concept designs and provide valuable feedback that will help shape the development proposals.

Working closely with Wheatley Homes South the proposed development aims to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes that respond to local housing need while enhancing the character and connectivity of the area.

Our initial proposals explore a carefully considered mix of house types and tenures, set within a walkable, well-landscaped layout which follows the principles of the approved masterplan. We are working with OOBE Landscape Architects to explore opportunities to integrate green infrastructure, support biodiversity, and create welcoming outdoor spaces for residents of all ages.

We would like to thank all those who attended and engaged with the presentation boards and our team. The insights and comments gathered during Public Event 1 are being carefully reviewed and will inform the evolving designs as we progress towards a planning application.

A second public consultation event is anticipated later this year, where updated proposals will be shared for further community feedback.
