Garlieston Harbour is on the edge of the village Conservation Area and contains two disused and dilapidated Category B listed buildings and an out-of-scale five story grain warehouse. The former have been carefully preserved and converted and the warehouse demolished.
The harbour is ideally placed as a yacht station for the Solway estuary, to link with the marinas along the Solway Coast and, further afield, the Isle of Man and the Irish and Clyde coastlines.
The development offers a range of accommodation, with ready access to Dumfries and Galloway. The area is renowned for its lush countryside, beautiful towns and villages, high mountains and rolling hill ranges, tranquil freshwater lochs, wetlands teaming with wildlife, and clear views of enormous skies and dramatic sunsets.
