Banchory Care Home Starts on Site

Construction has commenced on a new 60‑bed residential care home for older people at the Hill of Banchory, on the vacant site adjacent to the Sports Village.

This purpose‑built, 60‑place care home marks the next phase of a wider masterplan we developed for the area, which brings together mixed‑use elements including new homes and community healthcare facilities. The scheme is designed to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care in a welcoming, domestic setting while integrating sensitively with the evolving neighbourhood.
Design highlights

• 60 en‑suite bedrooms arranged in smaller household clusters to support dignity, familiarity and wayfinding.
• Generous social spaces including lounges and dining rooms opening to secure gardens.
• Therapeutic landscape with accessible courtyards and walking routes.
