Planning for Centre of Renewable Excellence

21 August 2025

We are delighted to announce that Planning permission has been granted for the conversion and adaptive reuse of a redundant stone-built steading courtyard into a new centre of renewable excellence and sustainable growth in rural Dumfries & Galloway.

This project will transform these disused agricultural buildings which are located into a hub for theĀ green economy, supporting innovation, education, and sustainable business development.

Our proposals placeĀ heritage and sustainability at the forefront, retaining the character of the traditional steading while integrating a range of low-carbon design measures including energy efficiency improvements, PV arrays, air-source heat pumps, green roofs, SuDS, biodiversity enhancements, and the reuse of salvaged materials.

We are delighted this important project milestone has been achieved!
